Abstract
In this quantitative research, elementary school and mathematics teachers’ opinions and recommendations about Realistic Mathematics Education approach were investigated. Participants consists of 13 elementary school and 14 mathematics teachers who determined by criterion sampling technique among the purposeful sampling methods. The phenomenology approach and qualitative analysis techniques were adapted in this study. Elementary school and mathematics teachers mentioned their desire to get in-service training for Realistic Mathematics Education approach and emphasized the importance of developing prepared materials and textbooks for this approach. Elementary school and mathematics teachers frequently mentioned that giving lectures with the Realistic Mathematics Education approach may take too much time. Researchers who considered elementary school and mathematics teachers’ concern for the density of the curriculum emphasized creation of a study that reviews the 2018 Mathematics Curriculum and secondary education placement exam via Realistic Mathematics Education approach
